    Short answer, yes and yes.
Long answer if you live in the USA. There is subsonic 44 magnum ammo available, but it is over $1 per round and the stuff from EBR http://www.ebr-inc.net/44magSubsonic.htm… is only available in 265 grain which is not very powerful. I hand load some using 310 grain bullets which gives it an edge (688 ft-lbs vs 588 ft-lbs) when you are restricting yourself to 1000 fps and is much cheaper. 44 Special ammo might be subsonic in the DE, but it may not function well due to its shorter length and lower pressure. Supersonic ammo can still be effectively suppressed in the DE, but it will be louder due to the higher power charge and the sonic boom. The sonic boom is much less noisy than the muzzle blast.
You will need an extended barrel and get it threaded by a gunsmith. There are extended barrels available for the Desert Eagle, but I do not know who sells them now other than the manufacturer. They look like this; http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u320/… . You can find them on http://www.gunbroker.com and other auction sites at times.
While a silencer on the barrel of a DE does not require a recoil booster to function properly, the subsonic ammo might not have enough pressure to operate the action. I have not seen any silencers made for 44 magnum pistols. The silencers for 45 ACP pistols can be made to fit, but are probably too weak to handle the 44 mag pressure. You can have one custom made but it will be expensive, nearly $1000.
The federal government does not prohibit silencer ownership by unlicensed civilians, but it does require ATF authorization (routine) to make or buy one. There is also a $200 tax to be paid before transfer or making. Only 37 states allow unlicensed civilians to own silencers also. Take a look at http://www.subguns.com and http://www.silencertests.com for more info. If you live in a state that allows them and know how to operate a lathe, then you can make one. Check the above sites as well as the US patent office for drawings. Good luck.
ETA; I have not seen 50 AE and 357 mag subsonic ammo available, but it can be hand loaded that way.

I don’t think you can suppress them, cause most of the cartridges for the desert eagle are too powerful and loud to suppress effectively, only rounds like .223 remington and 9mm can be suppressed since they have less muzzle blast then most other cartridges.
about the subsonic rounds, it depends on the cartridge your talking about? Because the desert eagle comes in a few different calibres like 357 magnum, 44 remington magnum and 50 AE, I think the only way to get subsonic revolver style cartridges is to reload some yourself, cause I can’t find none on the web.
if I forgot about some other calibres for the desert eagle , I’m sorry k?

A better question might be “Can I legally own a suppressed firearm.”
In many states the answer is Unless you are a member of the military or law enforcement, and have express written consent to own such devices they are restricted.
In states that do allow civilian ownership of silenced weapons you may have the additional burden of registering with the ATF.
    Good luck!

The first thing you would have to do is find a longer than stock barrel that extends past the slide
Other than that yes you can suppress any gun except a revolver
But you may have top make your own subsonic ammo, assuming that it will cycle the action adequately
